Indian women’s hockey team would hope to do well against a higher-ranked United States of America (USA) in their second Pool B match of the Hockey World league Semi-Final in South Africa on Monday.
In their first match, world No. 12 India salvaged a 0-0 draw against hosts South Africa, who are ranked No. 13 in the world.
India also have world No. 3 Argentina and world No. 20 Chile in their group of the Hockey World league Semi-Final, which is also a World Cup Qualifier.

In the first match, brilliant goalkeeping by Savita Punia saw India hold hosts South Africa 0-0 in their first match at the Women’s Hockey World League Semi-Final on Saturday.
South Africa were clearly the more attacking of the two sides but Indian defence held off the wave of attacks to earn a point.
